So today after work the fh (future husband) and I are going to register. I have choosen Williams Sonoma and Macy's....I think I pretty much know what I want and what we don't need, but I want to poll my friends in the blogging world. If you are married what is the one thing you registered for that you couldn't live without and you use all the time? What is the one thing you registered for and you never use? And if you aren't married, what will be on your dream registry?
Thanks for the help!
Sincerely Loving Food,
Lainey
Hey Lady! Okay, the ONE item that I would say we absolutely can't live without is our food processor. We got the mondo-huge 9-cup Cuisine Art one and It's a-ma-zing. We (I) also love our wine carafes, rabbit and glass pitchers - literally use the wine carafe and rabbit every time we open a bottle and I loved making a variety of iced teas to display in the pitchers over the summer. I also love my cake dome - I use it all the time! I know you have a lot of fancy kitchen gadgets already, so hopefully this helps!
ReplyDeleteooh,so fun!! okay. Things I already have but are a must and luckily Santa brought these to me....can't remember if you have it or not but the Kitchenaid mixer-AMAZING. You have to register for the new set of calphalon pots/pans. they are now dishwasher safe. and of course, good knives. and william sonoma spatulas. OMG I could go on and on. If you can chat later I can give you tips because I have helped several friends register...
ReplyDeleteHooray! And this is why we are friends: I love my Cuisine Art 9 cup food processor and my Kitchenaid mixer! I am super pumped about wine carafes and new spatulas!!!
ReplyDeleteHands down favorite thing on the registry was the Kitchen Aid Mixer. I love it and use it all the time. If you already have one, my other favorites were our knife set and our everyday white dishes from Pottery Barn. The only thing on our registry we don't really use are the PB glass beer mugs my husband HAD TO HAVE. He almost never drinks beer and has never used one of the mugs. :)
ReplyDeleteI am adding a high-end juicer to the registry I'm convinced I'll never get to create :)
ReplyDeleteThings we love (not mentioned yet): Dyson vacuum, really good knives, new down comforter, great bed sheets
ReplyDeleteThings we regret: too many baking sets (wish i picked individual items), too big of a crock pot, Macy's Hotel brand towels
Things we wish we'd registered for: pressure cooker, cast iron pan
And yes, I use my china and waterford - call me old fashioned :)
addendum - we got so many freaking sets of wine and beer glasses. we drink a lot, but seriously, we returned them by THE DOZEN. We put a limited number and a particular brand on our registry, and people went crazy buying random sets in abundance.
